Finding a solicitor usually goes like this. You search, you get a page of adverts and firm websites that all say the same things, and you end up ringing whoever answers first. When the matter is a criminal charge, a divorce or an injury claim, that's a big decision to make on so little.
Top 10 Lawyers started in Australia in 2018. The UK site covers 40 lists across 8 cities in England, for family, criminal, personal injury, immigration and property law.
How the site is funded
We don't charge you anything to use the site. No UK firm currently pays for its place on a list. If that changes, we will say so on every list where it applies, because you should know that when you're comparing firms.
What we're doing now
We're rewriting every UK list. Each reviewed list gets our own write-up of every firm, checks against the SRA's Solicitors Register, and plain English information about how that area of law works and where to get free help. Lists we've finished are marked with the date we reviewed them. There's more on how we compile our lists.
